Find out before your client does

UptimeWarrior watches the sites you look after: uptime, TLS certificates, domain expiry, dead links and the meta tags Google reads. You get a message when a site goes down and when a certificate or domain is close to running out; the dead links and missing tags are waiting on the dashboard.

Free covers 3 sites, takes no card and keeps running for as long as somebody signs in. On a paid plan nothing is charged for 14 days, and nothing at all if you cancel inside them.

Four sites and one bad Sunday, as the dashboard shows it. Example data. Those hostnames are reserved for documentation and belong to nobody.

01 / checks

What gets checked

Uptime is the only check that runs every cycle. The others are heavier (the link scan reads the page you monitor and follows the links on it), so each runs on its own schedule, and the last result is carried forward in between.

01

Uptime

The status code, and how long the page took to answer

02

TLS certificate

Whether the chain is trusted, and the date it expires. You get a reminder at 14, 7, 3 and 1 days left.

03 Pro and up

Domain expiry

The expiry date from the registry, with a reminder at 30, 14, 7, 3 and 1 days. Some registries, .nl and .de among them, publish no date, and the dashboard says so. On by default for a new site.

04

Broken links

Up to 50 links on the page you monitor, followed to see what answers. A server that turns us away is reported as could not check, not as broken.

05

Meta tags

Title, description, social image, mobile viewport and charset

And nothing on your side

There is no agent to install, nothing to add to your markup and no DNS change to make. You give us a URL, and no third-party monitoring API sits between your site and your result.

An outage, its recovery, and a certificate or domain close to expiry send you a message. Broken links and meta tags do not: they are on the dashboard and in the weekly report on Pro and up, as of the last scan.

How often each of these runs depends on your plan. The intervals are on the pricing sheet below.

02 / alerts

What happens when one goes down

0s

The check fails

A 5xx, a certificate we cannot trust, or no answer at all inside 15 seconds. A 4xx means the server answered, so it does not count as down unless you have told us that site should only ever answer 2xx.

30s

It is checked again

One failed request is not an outage, so nothing goes out yet. 30 seconds later the site is asked again, and only a second failure counts.

~45s

You hear about it

Roughly 30–45 seconds after the failing check when the site answers with an error, and up to about 90 seconds when requests time out. An email to the account, plus Slack, Teams, Discord or Google Chat if you have pointed a webhook at us.

4h

Reminders, with a cap

An outage that is still running gets a reminder every 4 hours. A site that flaps is announced at most 3 times in 4 hours, then goes quiet until that window clears.

back up

The all-clear

Every outage we announced gets a second message when the site answers again, saying how long it was down.

About these times. They run from the check that fails, not from the moment the site went down. Before that check comes round, up to one poll interval can pass (15 min on Free, 60s on Pro and Agency). After it, most of the wait is the confirmation: the re-check is not due for 30 seconds, and a site that does not answer at all costs the 15-second timeout twice. These are what the system aims for and what it normally does, not a guaranteed delivery time: once a message leaves us, when it lands is up to your mail provider or your chat platform. Nothing here is an SLA.

03 / for clients

Things you can hand to a client

One weekly PDF naming every site on the account names every client you work for, and that is not a document you can forward to one of them. Group your sites by the client they belong to and each of them gets their own page, their own report and their own alerts, with no sight of anybody else.

Agency and up

One client, kept to themselves

Group a client's sites under their name and the three things that leave your building follow the grouping: a status page covering everything they have, a weekly PDF to their own address, and a Slack channel that hears about their outages and nobody else's.

Sites you add to that client later are covered without you coming back to change anything.

Every plan

A public status page

One page per site, switched on for the sites you choose: whether it is up now, the last week of checks, and the date the certificate runs out, with the days left. On Pro and up it shows the domain's date as well. Send a client the link instead of writing the email.

You choose the address; we host the page, so it sits on our domain. There is no custom domain.

Pro and up

A weekly PDF

Monday morning, emailed to you: uptime, response times, certificates and domains for everything you look after.

On Agency, give a client their own address and they get a second report covering only their sites.

On Agency it carries your logo and your colour instead of ours, and the email goes out under your name.

04 / pricing

Priced per site, not per seat

A paid plan's monthly minimum covers its first few sites whether you fill them or not. Above that you pay for the most sites being checked at once during the month, not for a bundle chosen in advance. A paid plan is free for 14 days before any of it starts.

Free

Three of your own sites, checked every quarter of an hour — with the dead links and missing meta tags nobody goes looking for, and a status page.

Free for 3 sites

No card. It keeps running while somebody signs in. Move up whenever you want a 4th site.

Free keeps running for as long as somebody signs in. After 60 days without a visit we email the account; at 74 days its monitoring pauses, and signing in starts it again; at 180 days we ask for the account to be deleted, and it is erased 30 days after that unless somebody signs in first.
